A word about Kochi
Kochi is also known as Cochin. It is an interesting city, and is a perfect reflection of the eclecticism of Kerala. It also has an airport, a railway terminus and the hotels. It is place that was renovated sometime in the past by the Dutch. And is a home to some of India's most beautiful murals.
This is one place where tourists can see the oldest church in India, winding streets crammed with 500-year-old Portuguese houses, cantilevered Chinese fishing nets, a Jewish community the roots of which go back to the Diaspora, a 16th-century synagogue, and a palace built by the Portuguese and given to the Raja of Cochin.
